John F. Kennel attended the University of Dayton School of Law where he focused his studies on advocacy and dispute resolution. Mr. Kennel received his J.D. in May 2011, graduating in the top 15% of his class and earning concentration honors.
Prior to law school, Mr. Kennel attended Miami University as a Harrison Scholar. Named after United States President Benjamin Harrison, a Miami graduate, the scholarship has long been considered Miami's most prestigious award. Mr. Kennel earned his B.A. in Anthropology in 2007.
Mr. Kennel's practice includes the following areas of law: Consumer Bankruptcy, Foreclosure Defense, Consumer Law, and General Civil Litigation.
Mr. Kennel was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2013, scoring in the top 3% of all candidates on the February 2013 bar examination. He is also admitted in Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Mr. Kennel is a member of the Dayton Bar Association, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and The Thomas F. Waldron American Bankruptcy Law Forum.
In his spare time Mr. Kennel enjoys spending time with his wife Dianne and their dog Loki. Mr. Kennel is an avid supporter of FC Bayern Munich, the Boston Red Sox and the Green Bay Packers.
